Stewardship, Finance & Administration

Stewardship Committee
The Parish Stewardship Committee is responsible for teaching stewardship as a way of life. Stewardship, properly lived in a community of faith, affects the life of the entire parish, all the parish commissions, and ultimately the way the parish lives out its basic mission.

The mission of the Stewardship Committee is twofold: to continue the stewardship education process by seeking opportunities to present the stewardship message in any and all facets of parish life, and to work in conjunction with other commissions of the Parish Pastoral Council to constantly evaluate the management of parish resources of time, talent, and treasure. The Parish Stewardship Committee seeks out persons interested in education, liturgy, youth, RCIA, older parishioners, young adults as well as those with financial and administrative experience to serve a one-, two- or three-year term.

Finance Committee
Finance Committee is responsible for being a consultative body to the pastor of the parish on matters pertaining to the finances, financial holdings and all goods held by the parish. Members assist with preparation of the annual budget; assist the executive assistant in the accounting methods used to track all monies and goods; review and comment on the monthly balance sheets, revenues and expenses, savings, United Catholic Appeal, Legacy of Hope, endowments and fund-raising efforts; and assist in the preparation and explanation of semi-annual written reports for the parish on the financial condition of the parish.

Heavenly Dusters
"Cleanliness is next to godliness." How often did we hear this growing up? Heavenly Dusters clean the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and the Cathedral. This usually takes place on Saturday mornings, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Volunteers comprise weekly crews (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Saturdays), each week having specific tasks assigned.
