Q: Must we be members of the SS. Peter & Paul Cathedral Parish to get married at the cathedral?

A: No, you need not be parishioners to hold your wedding at the cathedral. Either the bride or groom, or both, must be Roman Catholic.

Q: Will the archbishop or the cathedral rector serve as the officiant at our wedding?

A: Not necessarily. Couples desiring to get married at the cathedral must provide their own officiant for the wedding liturgy. The cathedral staff can assist you with this process.

Q: What sort of marriage preparation program is required by the cathedral?

A: Your wedding officiant is responsible for completing a marriage preparation program with you.

Q: What is the seating capacity for weddings at the cathedral?

A: The main cathedral church has a seating capacity of 725, while the Blessed Sacrament Chapel has a seating capacity of 75.

Q: What is the fee for weddings at the cathedral?

A: Wedding fees are $1800 for the use of the main cathedral church, or $1300 for the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. This fee includes the services of the cathedral music director, who will assist you with planning and executing the music for your wedding liturgy.
